Clare Reynolds Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental business operated by Clare Reynolds as a sole proprietor, based in Gold Beach, Oregon. This policy explains what this website collects, who receives it, and what you can do about it.
It is written to describe what this site actually does. If we add a service that collects more, we will update this page before switching it on.

What this policy covers
This policy covers this website only — clarereynoldsvr.com.
Several of our homes are also listed on Airbnb. When you follow a link from this site to an Airbnb listing, you leave our site, and Airbnb's own privacy policy governs everything you do there. We do not receive your Airbnb account information, and we cannot see or control what Airbnb collects.
If you call or text us to arrange a stay, that conversation happens on the phone network, not on this website, and this policy does not govern it.
Information you give us
We only receive personal information from this website when you choose to send it through one of our three forms.
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you. That is all.
The booking enquiry form, on each home's page, asks for your name, how to reach you, the dates and number of guests you have in mind, whether you are bringing a pet, when you are best reached, and anything you want to tell us. We use it to answer your enquiry about that home.
The property management enquiry form, for homeowners interested in our management service, asks for considerably more, because we need it to give you a useful answer:
- your name, email address and phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted
- your property's address, including city, state and postcode
- details of the property — its type, size, year built, how many bedrooms and bathrooms it has, how many people it sleeps, its features, parking and any HOA restrictions
- how it is currently run — whether it is already a short-term rental, who manages it now, how it has been performing, which platforms it is listed on, any bookings already taken, and when you would want to start
- anything else you choose to tell us
We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss whether we can work together. Your property's address is personal information, and we treat it that way: we do not publish it, share it, or use it for anything other than answering you.
We do not require you to create an account, and this website has no account to create. We do not take payments or card details on this site.
Information collected automatically
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are from, and what kind of device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and assigns a randomly generated identifier so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. It derives an approximate location from your IP address; Google states that it does not retain IP addresses in Google Analytics 4.
We use this to see which homes people look at and whether the site is working, not to identify you personally. We do not link analytics data to anything you submit through a form.

Map tiles. Our map pages load satellite imagery from Esri. When a map appears, your browser requests those image tiles directly from Esri's servers, which means Esri receives your IP address and can see which map areas you are viewing. We do not send Esri anything else, and we receive nothing back from them about you.

Our fonts are self-hosted. They are served from our own site, so displaying this page sends nothing to a font provider.
Information stored in your browser
Two features remember your choices using your browser's own storage:
- The filters on the homes page remember your selections for the rest of your browsing session, and are discarded when you close the tab.
- The compare feature remembers which homes you have selected so the list survives a page reload.
This information stays in your browser. It is never transmitted to us, and we cannot read it. Clearing your browsing data removes it.
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, this site sets no cookies of its own.
Who else receives your information
Formspree delivers our form submissions. When you submit a form, its contents pass through Formspree, which stores the submission and forwards it to us by email. Formspree's privacy policy: https://formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy/

What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
- We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, or profiling.
- We do not send marketing email from this website. We reply to enquiries you send us.
How long we keep things
We keep form submissions and the correspondence that follows for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the enquiry, and longer where we need to for tax or legal reasons. Google Analytics retains its own data according to Google's retention settings. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your choices
You can decline analytics by using your browser's privacy settings or tracking protection, or by installing Google's opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
You can clear stored preferences by clearing your browser data for this site.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing clarereynoldsvr@proton.me. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you.
Oregon's Consumer Privacy Act grants Oregon residents rights over their personal data. That law applies to businesses above certain size thresholds, and a business of our size falls below them — so it does not currently impose those obligations on us. We honour access and deletion requests anyway, because it is the right way to treat people who contact us.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging travel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Visitors from outside the United States
We operate in the United States, and information you send us is processed here. United States privacy law may offer less protection than the law where you live. If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area and would like your information removed, email us and we will do it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who receives it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
